From Vienna: A4 towards Budapest/airport, exit Fischamend/Bratislava, then the B9 (Pressburger Bundesstraße) towards Hainburg an der Donau as far as Petronell-Carnuntum. About 30 minutes.
From Graz: A2 towards Vienna, at the Vösendorf interchange onto the S1, at the Schwechat interchange onto the A4 towards Budapest/airport, exit Fischamend/Bratislava, then the B9 to Petronell-Carnuntum or Bad Deutsch Altenburg.
From Eisenstadt and Lake Neusiedl: B50 north-east to Neusiedl am See, onto the A4 towards Vienna, exit Bruck an der Leitha Ost towards Rohrau/Hainburg, then the B211 to the turn-off for Petronell-Carnuntum. About 50 minutes.
From Bratislava: B9 towards Vienna as far as Petronell-Carnuntum. About 30 minutes.
From Vienna: S7 suburban railway from Wien-Mitte towards Wolfsthal to Petronell-Carnuntum station. On weekdays it leaves hourly at 17 minutes past the hour; on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays every two hours, also at 17 minutes past. About 55 minutes.
From Eisenstadt and Lake Neusiedl: by regional train via Neusiedl am See to Bruck an der Leitha, then bus 574 or 575 towards Hainburg an der Donau from Bruck station to Petronell-Carnuntum (main square).
From Bratislava: regional bus MHD no. 901 from „Nový most“ or „Petržalka/Einsteinova“ to the „Pressburger Reichsstraße“ stop; a short walk brings you to Ungartor station, from where the S7 runs to Bad Deutsch Altenburg or Petronell.

Cyclists are always welcome. The Donauradweg cycle path passes Petronell-Carnuntum — it starts in Passau and runs via Linz and Vienna to Bratislava. The Römerradweg is also nearby. For storing your bicycles safely, the Landgasthaus Marc Aurel has its own bicycle garage.
